Sugar Plum Tree has been in business for over 42 years located downstairs of Redeemer Church. We have four individual classrooms that range from 18mos-2.5 years to Pre-Kindergarten. Sugar Plum Tree follows the curriculum that has been developed by Maryellen Waters for 42 years and supplements it with the Early Learning Illinois Standards and the Creative Curriculum. Benchmarks are posted every week for parents to see what their child is working on. We use the STEM method to encourage children to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our teachers and staff follow a non-discipline approach. This offers an alternative method of intervention based on human actions and rational communication.
