About Carleton Memorial Daycare Centre

Welcome to Carleton Memorial Daycare Centre. We are a private, non-profit, licensed facility that has been in operation since 1975. CMDC is a multicultural daycare center that celebrates diversity and takes into consideration individual differences and special abilities as well as familial and cultural patterns. We provide diverse learning opportunities and embrace the unique passions of every child. We believe that we are an extension of their home and with family support and cooperation the children will embark on hands-on learning experiences that will enhance their whole development. We feel parents play a pivotal role in our learning journey with your child. We strive to nurture the spirit of kindness, cooperation, and respect in all children. Our current program statement describes specific goals for the learning and development of each individual child in our care. Our program statement incorporates best practices, new research, knowledge and experience and is consistent with the Ministry of Education’s statement on programming and pedagogy, “How Learning Happens” which is issued in the Childcare and Early Years Act. 2014.
