Some Of The Fantastic Benefits Of Motherhood
Being a mother, I have always felt that motherhood is a state of responsibility with lack of vacation, sleep and official sick leave; nevertheless it is also a state filled with joys and fantastic benefits.
Some of the benefits of motherhood I experienced:
• According to me motherhood gives the experience of both joyful and heartbreaking emotions; there are wonderful days that give the experience of joy, and other days that creates a feeling of sadness. All these emotions give life a purpose, with motherhood being a walk around with raw and exposed nerves.
• I have enjoyed every moment of motherhood; there have been hugs, grins and giggles, with it teaching me how to be patient, more loving and appreciative of the moments we spent together as a family.
• One of my most wonderful gains of being a mother is in watching my children be children; I love to relive the moments when they discovered things for themselves.
• When I had my first child I found a purpose in life; many of my friends have also experienced it. I love being a mother and I am good at it. Though I have made my own bunch of mistakes in parenting, I am a better person now and would never want to trade the worst days with my kids for a best day before my kids.
• My most enlightening experience about motherhood is the healing of life’s wounds being a part of one’s child’s smiles, giggles and pride in accomplishment; they convey the important message that all is well with the world.
• No other state can give one the enjoyment of evolution as motherhood; most of us as mothers need to realize that motherhood is watching our kids evolve into empathetic and kind human beings that have a mind of their own. It is worth the experience.
• I would give anything to be a mother as I have evolved as a better person being a better wife, a better mother, a better worker, a better friend and a better confidant.
• Thanks to my 2 children; I have stayed young long enough; I have enjoyed flying kites, acting like Scooby Doo, ordering a Happy Meal, eating cakes at children’s birthday party, using both men as well as women’s restroom, building cities in the sandbox and laughing hysterically at Sponge Bob without looking stupid.
• Motherhood as I see it is more about knowing joy when you are experiencing the hardest trials of life; I have learnt to rise to the occasion and stretch myself beyond the limits I set for myself. Truly motherhood is a challenging adventure with my passion, joy and greatest achievement.
These are a few of the fantastic benefits I have experienced as a mother; motherhood is an enhancing experience. What do you say?
