Talking is kids is important!

As parents we spend so much of time talking to our kids, but at the end of the conversation we wonder why do they don’t hear us out.  Challenges parents face is “I spoke to him/her for an hour” explaining and guiding him/her but yet why do they do the same thing.   We forget that kids are kids, they are still playful.

But why can talking with kids be so hard at times?  Parents speak without understanding, not aware that whatever spoken escapes in fine air. While many parent-child conversation lead to misunderstanding, yet taking that extra step of using soothing words and techniques help a lot.

Take time to talk to your kid. Parents are too busy – children spend more time with their servant mate, so where is the bonding?  The cell phone becomes your presence…its texting all day J

  • “Did you have your lunch”?

  • “What time is your tuition”?

  • “Don’t forget to have your boost”?

  • “I keep telling you to eat your fruits but”?

  • “I will be late today, so don’t wait for me”

Mind you these conversations are mostly across the table or “each confined to their own rooms”.  Children look forward to your talking.  Spend more time with your kids, talk to them – about the day, about their school, have a conversation about their -subjects, friends, teachers, moods, eating habits, studying habits, etc.,

Remember there is no script that parents need to memories on what to talk, it’s every word that it shared with love and understanding.
