How Can Indians Justify Beating Children?

Children have some basic needs, but that don’t include abusing and beating. Indian parents staunchly believe in corporal punishments. Especially stay-at-home mothers tend to hit their children, under the impression of their cultural behavior – “disciplinary issue”.

I’m not against parenting because I respect it a lot. I would call it as the gift showered to humans. But, how better are the Indian parents in inspiring their children with a humane touch?

When you hit a child, hoping that they would learn from their mistakes…I’m really sorry to say! You’re sowing the seeds of evil. Studies show that you teach them to be aggressive;

Unfortunately you feed them with the venom inculcated by our ancestors. Initially, you might scare their pants off, but you’re denying them the most essential thing – humane touch and knowledge!

Never ever consider the saying “spare the rod and spoil the child” literally! The entire western world is aware of its source – Samuel Butler’s “Hudibras”, a satirical poem.

So…it’s satirical and it implies “spare the child and spoil the rod”. If you’re under the impression that it’s from Bible, please forget it!

Who are you raising? An angry and depressed teenager or a soul? Your children are your copies to this world and you become the epitome of arrogance.

The poor thing is you cannot expect them to learn good things through evil!
