Bonding With Your Baby By Cuddling

If you were asked as a new mother what is the most treasured memory of your newborn baby, your memory may be first blurred with dealing with birth, the recovery and just the various chores of looking after the newborn. You could easily forget that the power of the super soft cuddle that stays with a mother even after the baby has grown up. I am sure you would truly agree with me that the intoxicating smell of a newborn comes to memory each time you cuddle a newborn.
It has been found even by research that the cuddles in the first few months of baby’s life are the most treasured and cherished memories that parents carry throughout their life. It is also significant to find that every 7 out of 10 parents that have children aged between 9 months and 4 years confess that they would love to go back to the old role of being new parents and cuddling their newborns.
Yes it is true as not only new parents but also experienced ones would vouch the fact that the experience of cuddling the newborn with the fresh smell is one of the most precious experiences. New mothers with babies below the age of 9 months confessed that they savored the moments spent cuddling the newborn more than any other moment in the day. They found that the most favorite cuddle was when the baby snuggled up right to the neck, with every 1 out of 4 parents finding the early morning when the baby has just woken to be the best time for cuddling.
How very true it is that the time spent in cuddling babies in the first few months of life was most precious; about 7 out of 10 parents feeling that they do not want their babies to grow and want them to be newborns so they could continue to experience the power of those super soft cuddles.
It is also true that it is very difficult for young mothers to experience the joy and pleasant memories of those cuddles in the initial stages of a baby’s life as most mothers are preoccupied with chores like cleaning the house, working to come back to pre-pregnancy bodily state and getting the baby into a strict routine. It is also true that this state may apply to about 15 out of 100 new parents who have babies from 0-6 months, though every 6 out of 10 parents spent about 1/4th of their day in cuddling the newborn.
To conclude, how very true it is that the initial few months of a baby’s life is precious to both the mother and the child; time is fast fleeting and it would be best for mothers to spend maximum time cuddling their babies.
