5 Home Remedies For Running Nose In Children!

Cold and running nose are common amongst children.  The common cold symptoms in babies and children usually include runny nose.  Children become irritant unable to bear the pain and this ads on to many more problems. Common cold remedies and treatments are plenty but home remedies are the best for immediate cure.




 




1. Honey with hot water   - Take a spoon of honey and mix it with half cup of warm water.




2. Honey with cinnamon powder  -  Mix half a spoon of honey with a pinch of cinnamon powder, it can be taken early in the morning or before bed time.




3. Camphor with olive oil  - Mix a pinch of camphor with olive oil , massage it on the baby’s chest, it helps reduce the inflammation caused by common cold.




4. Lemon Juice - A glass of warm water with two table spoons of lemon juice is one of the most effective cures for runny nose and sneezing. You can add in a spoon of honey.




5. Eucalyptus Oil  - Adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to a vaporizer or warm water can help a baby or child find relief from common cold.







Running nose causes discomfort; excessive blowing of the mucus can irritate the outside of the nose and make it tender and sore.    Children refuse to eat when they have a running nose, limit the consumption of dairy products instead increase the intake of fluids in the form of warm water, vegetable soups or broths.  Avoid any kind of cold liquid intake. Avoid spicy, oily or fried, carbonated beverages and sodas as far as possible.
