It all started back in1940, when Michael Rudick opened a child care center in Northeast Baltimore near Harford Road. When son Stanley J. Rudick (pictured) took over the business in 1973, he recognized the increasing need to also offer quality before & after school care for Baltimore working families. Expanding on the traditional day care model, Harford Heights Child Care, Inc. was founded in 1984, and continues to operate today in alignment with 'Mr. Stan's' original vision: Peace of mind for working parents: knowing their children are well cared for, so they may focus on family economic goals. To remain dedicated to building childrens' self - esteem by providing a quality learning community which: Stimulates curiosity and nurtures ambitions, Encourages critical thinking and problem solving, Promotes physical activity, Values conflict resolution, Appreciates and embraces diversity.
