Darlene and James Corbin began Little Munchkins in 1976 with the purpose and mission of providing quality care and love to children in an environment enveloped by Christian values. In April 2011, the ownership was transferred to Brenda and Ed Winterroth, employees of the center for more than 18 years. Little Munchkins Learning Center is an independent, privately-owned, Christian-based learning center located in Northwest Austin on Metric Blvd, between Kramer and Rutland. Our 15,000 sq. ft. of indoor space is licensed for more than 300 children and maintains an excellent compliance history with DFPS. Our 10,000 sq. ft. main playground space has lots of shade and contains equipment for ongoing muscle development. Our playground for younger children contains three large wooden decks with a variety of playhouses, rolling and rocking toys, and interactive activities. Splash days and water activities are in the deck areas.
