I have been studying pedagogy as a hobby for years and utilize what I find to be valuable from many philosophies including Montessori, Charlotte Mason, and classical education. I include literature and music from the traditions of Western Civilization and our Judeo-Christian heritage. I will also present weekly and monthly cultural and STEM themes. Our world is increasingly interconnected and children will learn about being in a local and global community. Lesson plans will be tailored to the age and skill levels of the individual children in care. Do not be surprised if there is a large amount of repetition in the children s activities, songs, stories, etc. This is how children learn. The children will also be given a significant amount of time to explore, make believe and independently choose activities. Imaginative play is vital to children s social and psychological development.
