A Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering older adults to thrive in their homes and communities. Through our network of passionate volunteers, we foster meaningful connections across generations, creating stronger, more engaged neighborhoods.A Little Help began in 2005 as Washington Park Cares, when a group of neighbors in Denver came together to support older adults aging at home. Inspired by the national Village Movement, we built a model that connects neighbors of all ages, fostering independence and community support.By 2007, we officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with a vision of stronger, intergenerational communities where older adults can thrive. In 2011, we took a major step forward by hiring our first full-time Executive Director, which paved the way for remarkable growth. Over the years, we expanded our reach, deepened our services, and strengthened our leadership. We developed a professional board and staff, improved volunteer coordination, enhanced our brand and web presence, and secured sustainable funding through grants, corporate partnerships, and donors. As our capacity grew, so did our impact. We introduced more programs, refined our service coordination, and built a community-driven support system that helps older adults remain independent and connected.
